Soreption

Emerging from the Nordic landscapes of Sweden, technical death metal band Soreption was founded in 2005. The quartet comprises Fredrik Söderberg on vocals, Ian Waye on guitar, Rickard Persson on bass and Tony Westermark on drums.

Renowned for their surgically precise guitar riffs, deeply lethal sound and darkly aggressive vocals, Soreption’s musical signature is based on rhythmic structures marked by syncopations and off-beats, resulting in an intensely percussive sound.

This lethal blend of power and dynamism drives the whole thing along at a frenetic pace. They succeed in creating a cold, dark atmosphere that forges their distinctive sonic identity.

Soreption have made a significant contribution to the genre with a discography that includes four albums and an EP: ‘Illuminate the Excessive‘ (2007), ‘Deterioration of Minds‘ (2010), ‘Engineering the Void‘ (2014), ‘Monument of the End‘ (2018), and ‘Jord‘ (2022).

Their musical journey has been marked by numerous tours, on stages and at festivals across Europe and North America, alongside renowned artists such as Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation, Archspire and Revocation, among others.

This exposure and their formidable set of skills have earned them a fervent following among metal aficionados.
