Oni Hasan
Oni Hasan is a Bangladeshi guitarist, composer and musician, who started playing the guitar at 16 years old when his father offered him a guitar. Among his main influences are Dimebag Darrell, Yngwie Malmsteen, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, and Paul Gilbert.
Self-taught, Oni learned the guitar by reading guitar methods, and magazines and by playing along with songs broadcasted on TV.
Oni Hasan first played with the band Illusive Dreams before joining other major bands on the Bangladeshi underground scene. He is renowned for his work with Vibe and Warfaze, contributing to acclaimed albums that have greatly influenced the Bangladeshi music scene.
His first success came with Vibe‘s “Chena Jogot” album in 2007, followed by several albums with Warfaze, including “Poth Chola” in 2007, “Lalon” in 2011, and “Shotto” in 2012. Oni also has a productive solo career, having released several instrumental songs such as “Shrine“, “Wild Aurora“, “The Himalayas is where my heart rests“, and most recently “Adrenaline Rush” in 2022.
Oni Hasan is also an ambassador for the Kiesel and Stringjoy guitar brands. Having previously played on Jackson guitars, he continues to contribute to the international metal scene, taking part in projects such as Jared Dines‘ ‘Shred Collab 4′ on YouTube.
His channel counts hundreds of thousands of subscribers, thanks to his amazing playing.
Oni remains connected to his Bangladeshi roots and desires to see the local music scene evolve and whishes to collaborate with new artists and explore new genres.
