Pierre Danel
Pierre Danel is a renowned French guitarist, composer, arranger, and sound engineer, known for his exceptional talent and musical versatility. Having fallen in love with the guitar at the age of 8, he started playing a left-handed model before switching to a right-handed guitar. At 16, driven by his passion, he left high school to train at the American School of Modern Music in Paris.
Dedicated to passing on his knowledge, Pierre has edited the djent, metal, and fusion sections for Guitar Xtreme magazine, influencing new generations of guitarists.
He founded the progressive metal band Kadinja in 2013, which has released an EP and three albums. With Kadinja, he has toured extensively, including performances in China and Japan. Pierre also collaborates with Vola Guitar, developing three signature models: PDM 7 Vasti, PDM J1 Vasti 7, and PDM J2 Vasti 7, all based on a Telecaster shape.
In 2022, Pierre joined the metalcore band Novelists alongside Florestan Durand, Amael Durand, and Nicolas Delestrade. Their collaboration on the ‘Déjà Vu‘ album marked the beginning of a new era for the band, further enriched by the arrival of Camille Contreras, who promises to redefine the band’s global impact.
I started using Guitar Pro with the fourth version! I used it a lot when I first started playing the guitar, especially for writing ideas when I was 15 or 16 years old. It taught me quite a lot.
At one point in my life, it was primarily a composition tool.
Later, Guitar Pro became my tool for working on my harmony and music theory lessons.
I would always write my lessons in Guitar Pro to see how what I wrote actually sounded, and it really helped me. I also edited my compositions for school to see how they would sound.
I now use Guitar Pro to edit the songs for my band Kadinja.
