Marina’s Decacorde
Marina’s Decacorde is the instrumental project founded and run by Marina Koshkina.
Marina Koshkina is a composer, arranger, sound engineer, and guitarist, most known for her unique style of 10-string guitar performance and composing skills, highly appreciated by music industry professionals such as Rick Beato, Tosin Abasi, Nikita Koshkin, Sean Lennon, Mike Dawes, and more.
She started playing classical guitar at the age of 11 and fell in love with music and composing. At 15, she switched to electric guitar and later to bass guitar, driven by her passion for the rock music of the 70s-80s.
After leaving the first rock band where she played as a bass guitarist, Marina decided to build a solid musical base, going through all the steps of classical music education.
In 2012, she graduated from Smolensk Glinka Music College as a classical guitarist, and in 2019, from Maimonides State Classical Academy (Classical Guitar Department).
Marina started playing the acoustic classical 10-string guitar (decacorde) in 2014. In 2023, she moved to a new instrument – the nylon electric 10-string guitar, and began releasing her instrumental 10-string guitar music with electronic arrangements under the name “Marina’s Decacorde.”
Mostly focused on composing, studio work, streaming, and making musical content for YouTube, Marina also gives concerts.
With the help of fans’ support on streams, Patreon, and later on Boosty, the project exists as non-commercial and completely independent.

The first version of Guitar Pro I used was Guitar Pro 3 – and my very first compositions were written in it. Until now, I cannot imagine my life as a musician and composer without this amazing program.
I grew up with it and was happy to see more and more useful features with each new update: separate voices editing, sheet music/tabs design, new features, and what was the biggest surprise and joy for me – the possibility to create sheet music and tabs for 10-string guitar, with no need to use two lines for one instrument anymore.
When I do not have the instrument with me, but the musical idea strikes, I use the Guitar Pro fingerboard to imagine my idea on it, make the tabs, and listen to what I have, with the possibility to come back with the guitar later and learn everything.
Now, Guitar Pro is my everyday tool, both for composing and for playing guitar.
