I’m a Guitar Pro 6 user, I’m using Linux and the drop of Linux support means I won’t update to 7. I will begin to search for alternatives.
Quite a shame to see no Linux version is going to be released for Guitar Pro 7.
Guess I will be staying with version 6.
Any chance for a guide for using the Line-in Feature?
We work on it. You will find info in the user guide for the moment. Thank you.
I ve bought Guitar pro 7 upgrad and i install it , but i cannot open the program ? doubleclick and nothing happens ?
Hello Martin, can you please contact our support for help https://support.guitar-pro.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=18321
Hi,
Is it possible in GP7 to change the frequency away from 440Hz, I would need that for some calssic stuff 😉 thx
Yours sincerely
Andy
Hello, it is not possible for the moment to change your frequency in GP7. You can do it in your soundcard preferences.
Hi.
I Can’t open tabs by double click, I have to lunch Guitar pro and then go to “File > Open”. When i Double click on a tab, Guitar pro lunches itself (GuitarPro7.exe) and if it already opened then nothing happen
Hello, can you please contact our support to report the problem. It works for me so there is a problem with your computer. We need to investigate it https://support.guitar-pro.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=212169
Hello Linda,
actually if I open a new project, loading eq-presets works. It does not work in my older projects I started with GP6. But in any case (new or old project) it is not displyed, which preset is actually choosen, neither at effects nor at eqs or what ever.
Thanks for the solution with the sounds 😉
Hello Steven, you problem should be solve in the next update.
Hey,
if I choose a Preset (eg from the D-Delay) it’d be nice, if the name of the choosen preset would be displayed instead of “Preset”.
2. EQ_Presets for the track are not loading. (It just happend nothing, when I choosed one)
3. Under Eddit->Sound, it’d be great if there would be displayed the same lable that’ll displayed in the track.
4. For changing guitar-tuning, it doesn’t make any sense to be able to choose between Violin, Bass, Guitar, when the track is for Guitar… it’d be nice to get a way, that I can direct choose from the preset-tunings for the actual instrument of the track.
Hello Steven,
Please find answers to your questions.
These problems have been fixed in our new version 7.0.2. Please install the last update available for Guitar Pro 7:
if I choose a Preset (eg from the D-Delay) it’d be nice, if the name of the choosen preset would be displayed instead of « Preset ».
EQ_Presets for the track are not loading. (It just happen nothing, when I choosed one)
Under Edit->Sound, it’d be great if there would be displayed the same lable that’ll displayed in the track.
To do so, click on the vertical three dots icon close to the sound name and select Save as user sound preset. It will be available in the menu Edit > Sounds.
For changing guitar-tuning, it doesn’t make any sense to be able to choose between Violin, Bass, Guitar, when the track is for Guitar… it’d be nice to get a way, that I can direct choose from the preset-tunings for the actual instrument of the track.
I will forward your request to the team.

May I add… Shortcuts to change hide/show the global view, edition palette, and inspector would be awesome. Thank you guys for your hard work! This program has been a big help to me for a long time.
control – shift – + Shortcut is really important! How do we quickly insert bars now? This is the biggest issue to speed of workflow I’ve found so far. Other than that, I’m good to go.
Hello Calvin, the control – shift –/+ Shortcut will work in the next update. This update will be available next week.
Regarding the “Shortcuts to change hide/show the global view, edition palette, and inspector”, i forward your request to our team. Thank you.
Please add spanish translate, it has to be the next language to add. And I report a bug, i can’t export any audio files, simply it doesn’t work, the progress bar freezes at 1/6 more or less. i can go back easy and try again but same result
The Spanish version will be soon available. The translator is working on it right now.
Regarding the bug it will be solve in the next maintenance update. Thank you.
Oh and I contacted support, let’s continue there! 🙂
It’s easier on the support 🙂 Thank you.
This doesn’t work on my system. I have RME UFX+ connected via Thunderbolt. When I click the gearwheel button, I get RME HDSP settings, but sample rate dropdown is grayed out and it cannot be changed! Meaning, GP7 has locked the sample rate to 44.1 and there’s nothing I can do about it. :/
Can’t believe Arobas removed support for different sample rates… this was possible in GP5. I always work at 48k so this is a dealbreaker for me.
Changing the sample rate is a BASIC necessity for any audio related program!
Hello Ed,
You can change the sample rate in GP7.
For Windows:
menu File > Preferences… > General > Audio / MIDI
In the Device section select the ASIO and click on the Gear button
It will open a window (your audio acquisition card preferences) where you can change the sample rate from 44100 to 48000.
Opening the ASIO panel crushes the whole app.
Suddenly the GP decided not to play at all, the “Audio device not available” title appeared and can’t be cured.
As always first releases are full of bugs!!
Hello, can you please send a message to our support for help:

You can always try WINE on Linux…
There should be a massive list of customizable shortcuts available to the user, and where are some of the shortcuts we had in GP6? For one, I can’t seem to change the pitch of notes with alt + up or down arrows anymore…
Hello Sebastian,
Thank you for submitting your problem. We will fix your issue in the next update.
Maintenance releases will soon be available.
7.0.1 Build 485
Mac OS X 10.11.6
Vertical scroll bar still missing. Appears briefly when GPro window is resized, then immediately disappears.
DIALOG boxes require a mouse click for OK; this is awkward and very annoying. RETURN or ENTER normally activates OK in dialogs and that is almost an automatic response. Please consider changing.
Hello Franck,
Your request has been forwarded to our team. Thank you.
Can you play use the Fretlight Guitars with this version of update?
Yes Duncan, you can use the Fretlight guitar. To do so, go to the Guitar Pro 7 Preferences… > Interface > Toolbar > Show Fretlight button. The Fretlight button will appear on the top right of the software.
For the moment, Guitar Pro 7 is not compatible with the Wireless Fretlight guitars.
Hi!
Thanks for the update, it solved a few problems for me. Also I would like to make a feature request :
I make drums scores and I like to build a score with beats and rhythms I have in mind as time goes on. I would like to be able to copy / paste from one .gp file to another (opened side by side in GP7) if I want to use a rhythm I already made. For now, I can’t find a way to do this and I have to redo the drums patterns in the new score each time.
Thanks!
Hello Jeremie,
You can copy and paste drums scores for one file to another one. Just copy what you want in the file 1 and paste it in the file 2.
Also please make sure that you are not using Multivoice edition (button located in the top left corner of the software in the edition palette – close to the 1/2/3/4). If you are using multivoice edition in the file 1, you have to use multivoice edition in the file 2 otherwise you will not be able to paste your drums scores.
So no Linux version this time. I’m affraid this is the end of GP for me 🙁
Guitar Pro 7 will not be available for Linux. Sorry.
