Can you imagine a band whose lead guitar players were Eric Clapton, then Jeff Beck and eventually Jimmy Page ? The Yardbirds were that band, and from 1963 to 1968 (when Page actually took over and formed Led Zeppelin over the ashes of the band) they were the hottest British Blues act around, backing the likes of John Lee Hooker in England and introducing their unique take on psychedelia.
