There’s no doubt about it : guitarist / singer Jack White brought rock back to life in the late nineties. His explosive duo with drummer Meg White introduced the urgency and power of the Delta Blues to a whole new generation, taking hints from Son House and The Stooges. Playing slide on a plastic guitar with a whammy pedal wasn’t your typical idea of alternative rock back in 2003, but Seven Nation Army proved that it works, and gave the Y generation its Smoke On The Water-type anthem.
