When KoRn released their debut album in 1994 (including the bone crushing riff of Blind), the world had never heard of metal riffing on a seven string guitar. The dark, dissonant and distorted sonic assaults of guitarists Head and Munky wrote the book for a whole new generation of baggy pants wearing metalheads. The nu metal fad lasted for half a decade but its originators are still standing strong.
