Radio friendly hard rocking songs don’t have to be from the USA : the brilliant albums by Finger Eleven put Canada on that map too. They started out in the early nineties in the wake of grunge and evolved towards a poppier sensibility in their songwriting, finally hitting the big time with their 2003 eponymous album. Guitarists James Black and Rick Jackett master the mixture of funky fills with heavy riffs to create their unique powerful tone.
