Béla Bartók tabs
The Hungarian composer and pianist Bartok never did anything the way he was supposed to. His compositions are inspired by the works of Stravinsky or Debussy whose contestation of the diatonic rules are pushed even further, to the point where Bartok’s works still takes part of the most daring music written in the twentieth century. He was also a founder of ethnomusicology, trying to keep the folkloric Hungarian music alive. And finally he was a politically conscious composer, pressured by the Soviets in his homeland and refusing to perform for the Nazis.
