Italy is not necessarily associated with a strong jazz tradition, and the fact that pianist extraordinaire Bruno Martino had to tour the whole of Europe to find success is proof of that reputation. He is the inspired composer behind the 1960s standards Estate and Dracula Cha Cha Cha, which have been covered by countless artists. By the end of his life in the nineties, he performed as a very capable singer more and more often.
