The career of Miguel Vega De La Cruz is more akin to that of a bluesman than your typical flamenco player. He started playing professionnally at the age of twelve. He developped a wild and creative style of playing, with a strong contempt for academic approach. His two solo albums released in the seventies are true classics of the genre, but sadly Nino Miguel’s drug habits prevented him from giving them a follow-up.
