J.D. Crowe tabs
Bluegrass is more than a century old, yet it is perfectly alive and well. New musicians join the movement regularly, and some veterans are still around to teach the old ways. Kentucky banjo wonder J.D. Crowe first made a name for himself in the fifties with Jimmy Martin, but then formed his own band, The New South, whose 1973 debut album, aptly named Bluegrass Evolution, remains a classic that’s hard to beat, featuring the amazing Tony Rice on guitar.
