Javad Maroufi tabs
Javad Ma’roufi represents a precious bridge between European classical music and the Middle East. He was born in Tehran, Iran, and could play the violin as well as the tar, which could be considered the Persian equivalent of the guitar. This eclecticism led him to study both Persian classical music as well as the Western masters such as Bach, Mozart, and Chopin. He wrote for the piano, which was unheard of in Persian music, including the stunning Golden Dreams.
